Xplor 2011 International Conference and Vendor Forum

As a key sponsor of Xplor International, their yearly conference and forum is always important to Crawford Technologies. In 2011 however, the event – which was held in Tampa Bay, Florida - took on extra significance for CrawfordTech.

Attendance was up by 30% over last year’s Xplor global conference, a testament to the quality of the content Xplor had laid out for delegates. It seems that while many events are seeing a drop in numbers, people still want to come along and hear great educational sessions and good speakers.

Ernie Crawford spoke in four different sessions, including two keynote speeches and two panel discussions. Indeed, one of Ernie’s speeches entitled ‘33 Things you can do with a print file besides printing it’ was so popular, extra chairs were crammed into the available space to accommodate the attendees! Look out for a chance to see this online in a CrawfordTech Webinar soon.

Crawford Technologies received a number of accolades at Xplor 2011. In the Xplor Awards, our PRO Production Manager product received an Honourable Mention in the Innovator of the Year Award.

The Technology Application of the year Award was given to Merrill Corporation, one of our customers. With assistance from InfoPrint Solutions, Merrill has achieved major improvements in their operations by implementing advanced workflow solutions, a system that included CrawfordTech print stream transforms.

The distinctions didn’t stop there. During the conference, attendees ranked the sessions they attended and prior to the last day, the rankings were calculated. One of the panels Ernie was on - ’Who Cares About Print Streams’ - won the Best of the Optimize Track. The panellists were asked to repeat this session so those who missed it the first time could enjoy the lively discussions

We will be participating in XDU On The Road conferences this year as well as a number of Xplor Webinars.

Once again, we've been honored at Xplor's ‘2011 Innovator of the Year Awards’

For the second time in three years, Xplor International is recognizing Crawford Technologies at the annual ‘Innovator of the Year Awards.’ The ‘Innovator of the Year Awards’ honors organizations that conceive and develop original concepts leading to a significant advancement in the industry.

This year CrawfordTech’s PRO Production Manager is being awarded with an honorable mention. PRO Production Manager is a sophisticated workflow management, automation and reporting software program for production printing systems. It is changing the price point of Automated Document Factory (ADF) systems and making ADF technology affordable to organizations, who in the past could not afford the multi-million dollar price tag of implementing ADF systems.

“For years small and medium-sized organizations were at a disadvantage because of the enormous cost of ADF systems. This allowed large, multi-million dollar corporations to have major advantages in the industry. PRO Production Manager now puts everyone on a level playing field. We are thrilled that Xplor has recognized the impact this product is making on the industry.” - Ernie Crawford, President of Crawford Technologies.

PRO Production Manager is an end-to-end document workflow automation, management and reporting tool that works within any transactional or print-on-demand document production environment. The software was built in conjunction with some of the world's leading document integrity and scanning hardware vendors.

“We had some excellent entries into this year’s awards by some of the most innovative organizations around the world. Crawford Technologies' PRO Production Manager stood out because it offers so much value to the industry. So we are honoring the company once again.” - Skip Henk, President and CEO of Xplor International.

We're proud to have received recognition at the 2011 Xplor Awards for PRO Production Manager.

The Xplor International Conference & Vendor Forum is in Tampa Bay, Florida and runs from 5th to 7th April. Come and see PRO Production Manager for yourself at Booth #24.
